Is the feasibility survey really free?
Yes. One of our consultants comes to you, surveys the site and works through your energy use. It is worth R1 500 and there are no strings attached.
What happens during load shedding?
With a battery or hybrid system your property keeps running. The inverter switches to the battery and solar automatically. On Sigenergy systems the changeover is 0 ms, so even computers and tills don't notice.
Which panels and inverters do you install?
We are independent and only use tried and tested tier one products from leading manufacturers, so your warranties stay intact. We are a certified Sigenergy installation and service partner and certified to install all major brands. If you prefer a specific product, we can quote it or suggest a like-for-like alternative.
How are panels fixed to the roof? Will they cause damage?
Panels are mounted on a rail system fixed to the roof. The system is designed to keep the strength and integrity of your roof while staying watertight.
How long do solar panels last?
Quality panels can last up to 40 years and lose roughly 0.5% of their output per year. Product warranties are typically 10 to 12 years and can often be extended. Your consultant will explain the trade-offs of each panel when specifying your system.
Do panels work on cloudy days and in winter?
Yes. Panels do not need direct sunlight to work. Output drops on cloudy days, but even in a South African winter they produce enough to make a real difference to your bill.
Can my business keep operating during the installation?
Yes, in most cases the installation does not affect normal trading. For schools and other places of learning we suggest installing outside term time where possible.
